The seven positions

What each slot rewards, and what it costs to play someone out of position.

A group is seven slots. Each one weighs the eight idol ratings differently, so the same idol is worth more in one seat than another. These are the exact weights the game uses.

Eligibility and the penalty

Every idol carries the positions they actually held in their group. Jennie is a Main Rapper, a Lead Vocal and a Visual, so she fits three slots at full value. Put her anywhere else and she scores at 86%.

The penalty is deliberately survivable. A stacked idol out of position often still beats a perfect fit with weaker ratings — working out when that's true is most of the game.

Chemistry

The seven picks are also scored together. Stacking members from one agency reads as shared training and pays a bonus; spreading across four or more generations costs you; three or more nationalities earns Global Appeal, which feeds overseas activity and the Japan release.

Common questions

What happens if you play an idol out of position?

They still play, at 86% of their value. The penalty is deliberately survivable — a stacked idol out of position often beats a perfect fit with weaker ratings.

Which position matters most?

None dominates. Main Vocal weights vocal at 60%, Main Dancer weights dance at 62%, and Leader spreads across star power, charm and craft. A lineup strong in one area and empty in another will not go 52-0.

What is chemistry?

A bonus or penalty on the whole lineup: stacking one agency pays off, spreading across four or more generations costs you, and three or more nationalities earns Global Appeal.
